WelcomeThe Parker Street Food and Furniture Bank is a registered charity providing services to the Halifax Regional Municipality.
Our motto "Reaching into the Community in Service and Love" refers not only to our commitment to serve those in need, but also to the sensitivity and caring we exercise in carrying out that work.
We work towards helping the families have a more positive attitude by showing them a sense of sharing and caring while providing recourses to allow for self-improvement towards the end goal of self-sufficiency.
Our services include the distribution of essentials - such as food, furniture and household items. In addition we offer educational classes (accredited by NSCC), job preparedness, job assistance, emergency funding, mentoring and referrals to other agencies where necessary.
