Snows Funeral Home and
Mattatall Funeral Home Fund Drive in Support of Parker Street Food and
Furniture Bank
On November 4th 2006, Snows and Mattatall Funeral Homes supported the
Parker Street Food and Furniture Bank with the 2nd annual Fund Drive.
The Snows drive was located at the corner of Bayers and Connaught. The
event drew volunteer support from across the community including members
of the 2501 Army Cadet Squadron who helped us all day. The Mattatall
Funeral Home had their fund drive located at the intersection of
Portland St., Baker Drive and Woodlawn Drive. Their were a number of
volunteers, Mattatalls staff, Regional Residential Society Services and
a number of Students from Prince Andrew High as well as Cadets from the
Duke of Edinburgh division, and also Chris Greek of NSCC who helped in
coordinating this event. With out them this event would not have been as
successful as it was. All pitched in collecting money and raising
awareness about the work of the Parker Street Food and Furniture Bank.
The event was a great success! New friendships were made as we braved
the newly cold weather together for a great cause.
THANK YOU to all the generous motorists who kindly contributed to the
Parker Street Food and Furniture Bank's support of those in need!
